Robber fly ( Asilidae ) with impaled fly.

Robber flies are relentless hunters and prey on other insects. Their large compound eyes combined with their ability to rapidly turn their head from side to side ensures that they miss nothing. Robber flies are valuable in assisting to control insect pests.
